How will you handle receiving all your business emails, as well as your personal ones? Do you have to remember to check different email addresses? Kaydee lists your options, and makes it easy.
Once you have purchased your web site address, from Kaydee or elsewhere, you will also be able to run email along side it.
For example you purchase the address www.outdoorslove.com and therefore would be able to run email addresses along side it. For examplekelly@outdoorslove.com, or info@outdoorslove.com. Each would have to be set up on the server (I can help with that) and then you have different options on how you receive them.
Why would you even have ANOTHER email address? Firstly, running email addresses along side your website address looks a lot more professional for your business. Secondly, if you put your personal email address onto a website, you risk a lot of spam dropping into your INBOX without the ability to change it. Keep them separate and limit spam on your personal account.

Bells and Whistles …
Kaydee can set up email accounts for you personally, or for your business that run along side your new web site address. You can choose exactly the address you want, as long as it coincides with the web address you have chosen. For example www.outdoorslove.com would be able to run email addresses along side it for example kelly@outdoorslove.com or info@outdoorslove.com.
I can then set these new email addresses up in your Email Client (Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Outlook Express, Apple Inc’s Mail) where you can send and receive email and organise into folders, or on your handheld device.
The recipient will receive the email from your new account (eg. kelly@outdoorslove.com) giving a much more professional approach.
If you choose this option, you can still view your emails via webmail (as below), if you are out of the office.
Most small organisations would use POP3 email accounts, but IMAP can be set up for you if you are using a number of different machines.
IMAP email is kept on server, and would gain the following benefits:
- No need to download all email when using other desktop PC to check your email.
- Easier to identify the unread email.
- Outgoing email can be filtered to a mailbox on server for accessibility from other machine.
- Messages can be deleted directly on the server to make it more convenient to clean up your mailbox on the server.
Web Mail …
Web mail is where you are viewing your emails through a browser (like Internet Explorer, Safari or Google Chrome) as oppose to in an email client (like Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Inc.’s Mail). You can access these emails where ever you are in the world, as long as you have an Internet connection. You just navigate to a specific area on the Internet, and enter in your username and password. It is a lot like the HOTMAIL interface.
If you choose the “bells and whistles” option above, you can still view your emails via webmail, if you are out of the office.

Email Forwarding …
In this example your personal email address or old business email address is already set up as, say, iloveoutdoors@gmail.com.
Your new email addresses CAN forward to any other email address.. The email address Kaydee has set up (info@outdoorslove.com) can forward to, say, a gmail account (iloveoutdoors@gmail.com). It basic means the emails are being resent to the gmail account. This is extremely easy to set up and easy to access. The disadvantage of this is that when you reply the recipient will receive the email from your gmail account (iloveoutdoors@gmail.com).
Yes, with email forwarding all the spam would get resent to your iloveoutdoors@gmail.com address, but this does not mean that your gmail address is on the spammers list. Generally, it would be the address you use on your website that is a target for spammers. If you STOP the forwarding you would STOP the spam coming to your gmail account. But only from those that collected your address from your website (info@outdoorslove.com). Cancelling the forwarding would not stop all spam on your personal account.
